"Mount Vernon is the affordable solution because it has the people and facilities in place, not least the marvellous charities that share the site.

Ever since it lost the A & E department, Mount Vernon has been messed around by the NHS.

Now is the time to secure its future as a leading cancer centre with superb facilities for the local community that gives it so much support."
